MANILA – The Philippines is planning to conduct cloud seeding operations to prevent a water shortage in the dry season, the National Water Resources Board (NWRB) said Friday.

David said the water level of Angat Dam, one of Metro Manila’s biggest sources of water, is now at 195.9m.

While he stressed that there is enough water supply, he called on the public to conserve water whenever possible to help government avert a possible water crisis in the dry months.

Aside from cloud seeding, other measures are also in place to ensure sufficient water supply for Metro Manila, David noted.
