CEBU -- Elaiza Yulo, the youngest sister of Olympian Carlos Yulo, is starting to make a name for herself in gymnastics.
Yulo won several gold medals in the 2024 Palarong Pambansa in Cebu after ruling three apparatus -- uneven bars, balance beam, and floor exercise. She also claimed the individual all-around title and led the National Capital Region to the team gold.

Also known as "Iza," the youngest Yulo scored a 9.850 in the uneven bars, a 12.050 in the balance beam, and a 10.900 in the floor exercise. She added a silver from the vault where she scored 11.650.

"Sila po 'yung No. 1 supporter ko. Manalo, matalo, support pa rin sila sa akin. Sobrang proud na po sila sa akin, kahit 'di pa po ako nagko-compete," added Yulo, who is a student at Adamson University.

As of Monday evening, NCR is dominating the medal tally of the 2024 Palaro with 87 gold medals, 62 silvers, and 72 bronzes.

The 2025 Palarong Pambansa will take place in Ilocos Norte. Two areas have already placed their bids for 2026: Bayawan City in Negros Oriental and Agusan del Sur.
