MANILA — Sen. Nancy Binay on Friday said she will campaign for her sister Abby Binay in case she decides to seek a Senate seat next year.

Abby is the incumbent mayor of Makati City, the family's political bailiwick. While she has yet to announce her political plans next year, her name has appeared in some senatorial surveys, albeit outside the "Magic 12."

"Oo naman [I will campaign for her]... Lawyer kasi 'yung kapatid ko at katulad ngayon nawala si Secretary Sonny Angara na lawyer din so may shortage kami sa lawyers so magiging welcome addition yung kapatid ko sa Senado," Nancy told Teleradyo Serbisyo.

Nancy also warned senators that her sister Abby is one feisty politician, as opposed to her more polite demeanor.

"Mag-ready sila dahil hindi 'Be Nice' yung mantra ng kapatid ko," Nancy said with a laugh.

Nancy is rumored to be gunning for the mayoralty seat of Makati City. She has yet to confirm it but had said that she would be "entering a new chapter" when her Senate stint ends next year.

In recent years, Abby admitted to have had a falling out with the Binay family due to her being "different" and their alleged dislike for her husband Luis Campos.
