Still under scrutiny
Critics of the Duterte government’s current policy on China have been very vocal in the past few days. This is especially after the recent visit of Chinese President Xi Jinping and the signing of the oil and gas development deal. Acting Chief Justice Antonio Carpio, a vocal critic of China, and former Solicitor General Florin Hilbay will be guests of a forum in Congress on the issues related to the West Philippine Sea at 9:30 a.m. Stay tuned to ANC for the live airing of the proceedings. Critics like Vice President Leni Robredo are still up in arms over the President’s order for more deployment in certain areas in the country to go after lawless elements and terrorists.
