MANILA -- After missing out on a chance to be part of the cast of "One More Chance" the musical, Kapamilya singer-actress Janella Salvador remains determined to one day do musical theater.

Salvador confirmed to ABS-CBN News recently that she received an offer for the musical, which is already running at the PETA Theater Center.

"I got the offer, when was this, last year? 'Yung One More Chance, I remember very well, I was doing something kaya I wasn't able to commit to that, sadly," said Salvador.

But Salvador still wants to take on the challenge of musical theater -- possibly in the near future.

"Sana bago ako mag-30, ano, makapag-theater na ako," she said. "Kasi gusto ko talaga, ever since. I was a theater kid, and obviously growing up with my mom in theater, I really, really wanna try it."

Salvador's mother, Jenine Desiderio, played the role of Kim in a production of "Miss Saigon" in the 1990s.

In the meantime, Salvador's focus is on promoting her movie with Win Metawin, "Under Parallel Skies," as well as her new single, "Headtone." The song, released in March, is a sultry track that tells the story of a woman "waiting for her lover to have a passionate rendezvous."

Of the song, Salvador said: "Ako kasi, I want my music to be able to grow along with me. So obviously as I mature and as I learn in life, I would want the same to be reflected sa music ko."
