MANILA -- Singer-actress Janella Salvador on Friday released her new single "Headtone."

The sultry track  is now available on various music streaming platforms, while its lyrics video is now on the official YouTube page of Star Music.

"Headtone" was composed by Kiko “Kikx” Salazar and produced by Jonathan Manalo.

In a social media post, Star Music said "Headtone" tells the story of a woman "waiting for her lover to have a passionate rendezvous."

It added that Salvador drew inspiration from her favorite genres,  jazz and R&B, which listeners can also expect for her upcoming releases this year.

Salvador said in a previous interview that her new music will feature "the sound that I've always wanted."

"It's gonna be more of ... jazz, R&B, something along those lines," she said. "Sobrang bago siya."

"Headtone" was released ahead of Salvador's concert "Reimagined" on April 19 at the New Frontier Theater to mark her first decade in the entertainment industry. Tickets are already available online via Ticketnet.

"I really hope to see you guys sa concert," Salvador said in a message to her fans. "This is something that I've been waiting for for a long time, and I'm sure you guys have, too. So ito na 'yun. Para sa inyo 'to and sana ma-enjoy."
