MANILA -- Actress Kaila Estrada is now officially a Kapamilya after she signed her first-ever contract with ABS-CBN on Monday, February 19.

"I am so grateful and I feel so blessed. And I am very happy and proud to be a Kapamilya. And I will always be a Kapamilya for as long as you guys will have me. So thank you so much for this," she said.

"I said earlier that this is really where I wanted my journey in show business to be, and I am so glad that it will continue. I am looking forward to more years to come for us as a family. I am so grateful, I am so blessed," added Estrada.

Present during the contract signing were ABS-CBN president and CEO Carlo Katigbak, chairman Mark Lopez, COO for Broadcast Cory Vidanes, CFO Rick Tan, and Star Magic head Laurenti Dyogi.

Aside from the ABS-CBN bosses, Estrada also expressed her gratitude to her management team.

Estrada started her acting journey in 2021 via her very first series "Viral Scandal" where she played Raven Ramones.

The following year, she starred in PIE Channel's "Chosen One" and in two episodes of the now defunct drama anthology "Maalaala Mo Kaya."

She also starred in "Love Bites" of ABS-CBN Entertainment and in "Fit Check: Confessions of an Ukay Queen."

She was once again praised for her portrayal of Sylvia in the ABS-CBN teleserye "Linlang," which first debuted on Prime Video.

In a previous interview with ABS-CBN News, Estrada shared her thoughts on navigating show business without her parents' help.

“I am super grateful they let me do this on my own. They let me figure out my way into show business. I feel that this has made me cherish it more because I know how much work I've put in... They give advice when I ask—but only when I ask. Other than that, they give me the freedom to figure things out,” she said.

Aside from "Linlang: The Teleserye Version," Estrada is also part of the ongoing primetime series "Can't Buy Me Love."
