MANILA -- Janice de Belen and John Estrada are proud parents to their daughter Kaila Estrada, who signed her first-ever contract with ABS-CBN on Monday, February 19.

In a video message during the signing ceremony attended by her management team as well as ABS-CBN executives, De Belen and Estrada congratulated their daughter.

"To my dearest daughter Kaila, know that I am very proud of you and I will always be proud of you. I wish you continuous success. But as you hold your head up high, also keep your feet on the ground," De Belen said. 

"Hayaan mo anak, may contract ka na sa ABS-CBN, hindi ka na anak ni Janice. Ako na ang magiging nanay ni Kaila. I love you," she added in jest.

For his part, Estrada said it makes him happy hearing praises about Kaila. 

"Nakakatuwa naman at nakakataba ng puso ko dahil lahat naman po ng nakatrabaho ni Kaila na nakatrabaho ko rin ay wala pong sinasabi kung hindi, 'O Sir John, Kuya John, grabe nakasama ko 'yung anak mo ang galing, napakabait na bata.' So I told her, 'you know what I think, you are here to stay,'" he said.

"Marami na akong naririnig na praises for you and you know you are in good hands, so congratulations. Basta magpakabait ka, magdasal ka parati, and of course, alam mo naman na nandito lang si Dad," he added.

Kaila, for her part, expressed her gratitude to her parents and to all those who have impacted her life.

 Like her parents, Kaila consistently proves her excellence in acting. Her performances in various shows earned her praises and recognition.

She officially started acting in 2021 via her first series, "Viral Scandal." 

 Aside from "Linlang: The Teleserye Version," Estrada is also part of the ongoing primetime series "Can't Buy Me Love."
