A police official who allegedly fell in love with a terror suspect kept bomb parts in an apartment where they stayed in Bohol, authorities said Tuesday.

Chief Superintendent Noli Taliño, Central Visayas police director, said Supt. Maria Christina Nobleza and alleged Abu Sayyaf bomb-maker Renierlo Dongon left parts of a homemade C-4 bomb in an apartment in Panglao.

"Noong isang gabi lang nai-turn over ang mga gamit. May nakuhang IED (improvised explosive device) components po doon sa Panglao, sa mga gamit nila," Taliño told radio DZMM.

"Iyun po ay additional criminal case laban sa kanila."

Recovered from their belongings were a detonating cord, blasting cap and blasting cap kit .

Nobleza, the deputy regional director of the Davao police Crime Laboratory, is accused of attempting to rescue Abu Sayyaf fighters in Bohol.

She and Dongon were arrested late Saturday after ignoring a checkpoint in Clarin, Bohol as security forces and terrorists exchanged gunfire.

The head of the Philippine National Police (PNP) on Monday said Nobleza is "romantically linked" to Dongon.

"Hindi ko alam kung nag-live-in na sila pero they fell in love with each other... Pumipitik ang puso ng police superintendent sa Abu Sayyaf member na si Dongon," PNP chief Director General Ronald dela Rosa said.

Dongon and Nobleza were transferred to the national police headquarters at Camp Crame on Tuesday morning.
