MANILA - If the allegations are true, 'I will crucify you.'

Such was Philippine National Police (PNP) chief Director General Ronald "Bato" dela Rosa's warning to Bulacan police officers tagged in raping a pregnant woman in Bulacan, as he appealed on the alleged victim to file a formal complaint and cooperate in the investigation.

Saying he holds women "at a very high esteem" no matter their stature in life, Dela Rosa said he is after holding his men accountable for their conduct. He vowed not to tolerate their mistakes if the allegations are proven true.

"'Pag ito, totoong nangyari, 'wag na kayong maghintay ng Semana Santa, ipapako ko kayo sa krus," he told the accused Bulacan officers, their team leader and commander.

"Pero kung ito naman ay hindi totoo, ako ang pinaka-unang tutulong sa inyo. Hindi ko kayo papabayaan kung ito ay hindi totoo. Kung kayo ay nagtatrabaho lang at kayo’y pinagbintangan ng totoo, then andito ako at hinding hindi ako papayag na pag ito ay hindi totoo ay wala kayong gagawing legal action," he said.

Dela Rosa appealed to the alleged victim to help in the ongoing investigation.

He said she could go to the PNP Internal Affairs Service or to him directly if she does not trust the Bulacan police.

"Nakikiusap ako sa complainant, please, let us make the proper investigation with your cooperation, I hope. Dahil kung puro lang kayo punta sa media, that will redound to [a] demolition job," he said in a press briefing in Bulacan.

"Pero kung itutuloy niyo ang laban hanggang sa korte, I am encouraging you para ma-pin down natin itong mga pulis na ito kung ito ay talagang mga loko-loko, kung gumawa ng kalokohan. But it’s too early to prejudge," he added.

The alleged victim, a pregnant woman, accused 4 policemen of raping her and performing lewd acts on her in front of her 2-year-old child during a buy-bust operation in the town of Meycauayan.

Although she has come forward to the media with her story, no formal complaint has been filed against the police officers, the PNP said.

In Manila, an 11-year-old girl also accused policemen in plainclothes of indecently touching her while in a dark and narrow street in Sampaloc on Monday night.

The policemen confirmed frisking the girl but denied touching delicate parts of her body.

The girl and her mother filed a complaint against the officers.
