MANILA – Miss USA 2015 Olivia Jordan marked the summer solstice with a sweet message to her former roommate, Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach.

“It’s the summer solstice, a time when light triumphs over darkness. Pia Wurtzbach, you are a light shining bright even when haters try to bring you down. Thanks for always letting your positivity shine through,” said Jordan, who recently passed on her Miss USA crown to Deshauna Barber from the District of Columbia.

Jordan posted a photo of herself being happy for Wurtzbach, who was shocked to be proclaimed Miss Universe 2015 after a controversial mix-up by host Steve Harvey. “Throwing it back to six months ago, the night both our lives changed; mine, mostly just because I got you for a roomie and friend,” she wrote.

“Congrats on being the best Miss Universe ever, Queen P. Keep killing it for the second half of your reign!”

Jordan, who finished second runner-up in Miss Universe 2015, won the hearts of many Filipinos for being always supportive of Wurtzbach.

She visited the Philippines for the first time in April to be one of the judges of Binibining Pilipinas 2016.

Wurtzbach, for her part, was one of the judges in the recently concluded Miss USA 2016 pageant.
