MANILA - The unemployment rate was little changed at 5.6 percent in July from 5.7 percent in April, data from the Philippine Statistics Authority showed.

A separate study by Social Weather Stations in June showed job optimism was "very high" as the unemployment rate edged down to 22.2 percent in June from 22.9 percent in March.
