The Commission on Elections (Comelec) has reiterated its call on candidates to comply with campaign rules as the local campaign period officially kicks off Friday.

Comelec Spokesperson James Jimenez says cases have already been filed in court against violators. He adds the commission is eyeing the filing of at least one case per region against national candidates already found to be violating campaign regulations.
