Former PBA rookie of the year Boybits Victoria is making progress in his battle against a rare autoimmune disorder.

In a social media post being shared online, Bing Victoria, Boybits' brother, said Boybits has been moved from intensive care to a private room at San Juan de Dios Hospital.

Boybits is dealing with Guillain-Barré Syndrome.

"We are happy to tell you all that Boybits is on his way to recovery," Bing said.

"He still has a long way to go in terms of rehabilitation but he has shown a lot of progress fighting GBS that we all consider as victory and blessing from God."
