The search for fugitive Pastor Apollo Quiboloy reached its 7th day Friday as law enforcers continue to look for the televangelist inside the Kingdom of Jesus Christ compound in Davao City.

Police Lt. Col. Jerick Filosofo, spokesperson of Task Force Teknon Alpha Pro 11, said some 2,000 police officers are still searching for Quiboloy in the 30-hectare property, saying the complexity of the compound poses challenges.

“The position of PRO II is that as long as Quiboloy remains free, we will continue to implement the arrest warrant,” he told TeleRadyo Serbisyo.

“Masyadong malaki ‘yung area, masyadong complex ‘yung mga facility sa loob. Hindi ganun kadali ma-search yung property.”

Quiboloy, a close spiritual adviser of ex-president Rodrigo Duterte, is accused of sex-trafficking girls and women aged 12 to 25 to work as personal assistants, or "pastorals", who were allegedly required to have sex with him.

The 74-year-old pastor and five other defendants have been charged with qualified human trafficking and other acts of child abuse.

Quiboloy has denied the charges, saying the women made up the charges after he rejected them.

The US Federal Bureau of Investigation has also placed Quiboloy on its most wanted list for conspiracy to engage in sex trafficking by force, fraud and coercion, sex trafficking of children and bulk cash smuggling.

In the interview, Filosofo said the PNP has “certain indicators and intelligence information” that Quiboloy is still hiding inside the KOJC Compound.

“Hindi lang tayo nagre-rely sa mga equipment but also human intelligence,” he said.

Interior Secretary Benhur Abalos earlier said authorities are focusing on several areas inside the 30-hectare property where Quiboloy is believed to be hiding.

Police officials have said Quiboloy could be hiding in an underground bunker or facility inside the religious group’s property.
