MANILA  — Some local government units (LGUs) have decided to suspend classes on Wednesday, November 20 due to the aftermath of storm Pepito.

Classes at all levels in the following areas have been suspended:

Isabela

- Echague (until Nov. 23)

Camarines Sur

- Caramoan

- Garchitorena

- Tinambac

- Siruma 

- Northern coastal barangays of Lagonoy

Nueva Ecija

- Licab 

Classes from pre-school to senior high school are likewise suspended in the following areas:

Cagayan

- Tuguegarao (face-to-face classes; public only)

The Philippines was struck by multiple typhoons this month, with the trio of Nika, Ofel and Pepito leaving some P478-million in damages, according to the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council.

The weather disasters affected some 1.8 million people, around 453,000 of whom fled to evacuation centers. 

The NDRRMC has yet to confirm any fatality from the three typhoons, but said at least 25 people were injured. Local officials have reported that Pepito killed at least 8 people.
