MANILA — Sen. Risa Hontiveros on Friday hit back at suspended Bamban, Tarlac Mayor Alice Guo's recent statement accusing senators and government offices of having a "seeming fixation" on her case.

On Thursday night, Guo, who remains in hiding amid a Senate arrest order, posted a lengthy statement on Facebook, saying "I am deeply concerned about and keep questioning why Senators Win Gatchalian and Risa Hontiveros and other offices seem fixated on me."

The suspended mayor also alluded to politicians "using" her "to boost their political ambitions."

Hontiveros and Gatchalian are leading the probe into illegal POGOs, which has delved into Guo's links to a raided scam hub in Bamban. The Senate has also zeroed in on her questionable claim of Filipino citizenship.

Hontiveros said the Senate hearings have continued due to Guo's frequent lying in her testimonies.

"Nagsinungaling ka tungkol sa koneksyon mo sa POGO, nagsinungaling ka tungkol sa pagkatao mo, at kada log-in mo sa Facebook, may bago ka na namang iniimbento... Huwag kayong mag-alala, hindi kami fixated sa'yo. Allergic lang kami sa mga sinungaling," Hontiveros said.

Guo has missed 2 Senate hearings, prompting the body to move for her arrest so she could attend their investigation.

"Mayor Alice Guo o Guo Hua Ping, mas marami pa kayong post sa Facebook kaysa sa attendance sa Senate hearing... So sadly for you, hindi katumbas ng attendance mo sa Senado ang maya’t-maya mong pagso-social media," Hontiveros said.

Guo has a pending petition before the Supreme Court seeking to block the Senate from forcing her attendance in their investigations.
