MANILA - Manila Mayor Francisco "Isko Moreno" Domagoso on Sunday approved the request of the Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila (PLM) to lock down the campus for 2 weeks as as more COVID-19 cases were confirmed in the university.

PLM President Emmanuel Leyco made the request after the university logged 4 confirmed COVID-19 cases, with 2 recoveries and one death. There are also 3 probable and one suspect cases.

Following the approval from Domagoso, all PLM employees will be on a strict work-from-home arrangement for the next two weeks, starting August 3.

Leyco, in a statement, said only employees who are "highly essential and (who) cannot bring home their workload" such as IT and server maintenance staff, disinfection and sanitation crew, and security personnel will be allowed inside the campus.

Just last week, Domagoso approved the request of the Ospital ng Maynila to temporarily close as more hospital workers get sick.
