MANILA - Bases and Conversion Development Authority (BCDA) President and CEO Vivencio "Vince" Dizon has been named as deputy chief implementer of the government's response against COVID-19.

Dizon was appointed to the position "in compliance with the instruction of President [Rodrigo Duterte] and in order to ensure the continuous and effective delivery of public service," according to a memorandum signed by Executive Secretary Salvador Medialdea on May 1.

Peace Adviser Carlito Galvez Jr. will remain as chief implementer of the Philippines' declared national policy against COVID-19.

In Sept. 2019, Dizon was also appointed as Presidential Adviser for Flagship Programs and Projects.
