Bicol confirms 3 new cases of COVID-19, bringing total to 7

MANILA - The Bicol region has recorded 3 new cases of the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19), bringing its total number of infections to 7.

The new cases came from Camarines Sur, the Department of Health - Bicol Region Office said Wednesday.

Only 1 of the new patients has no travel history, the department said.

Besides the confirmed COVID-19 cases, Bicol has 19 persons under investigation (PUI) who are waiting for their test results.

Meanwhile, the Ziga Memorial District Hospital in Tabaco City has been designated by the Albay provincial government as quarantine facility for PUIs in the region.

As of Wednesday, the Philippines has logged 2,311 coronavirus cases with 96 deaths and 50 recoveries.
