KIDAPAWAN CITY, Cotabato - Classes and government work in Kidapawan City were suspended on Thursday following a 4.3-magnitude earthquake.
The city government will have to check the structural integrity of buildings and other structures, its mayor Joseph Evangelista said.
The tremor struck around 9 a.m., with its epicenter located 55 kilometers west of Cotabato's Makilala town, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said.
Intensity 5 was felt in Kidapawan City.
Meanwhile, no one was reported injured in Makilala town, its vice mayor Ryan Tabanay said in a text message.
