After reigning  Miss Universe Sheynnis Palacios, another international pageant titleholder has arrived in the Philippines. 

Miss Earth Drita Ziri was warmly welcomed at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport on Thursday.

Wearing the Miss Earth crown with her white outfit and red heels, the Albanian beauty queen gamely posed for photos with fans and granted interviews with the media. 

She and Miss Earth Fire 2024 Cora Bliault of Thailand are in the country to join the activities of this year's Miss Philippines Earth pageant. 

"I just want to thank everyone who came here to welcome me, and for all your smiles, it really made my day even more positive than it already was," Ziri said in a video posted on the Miss Philippines Earth Facebook page. "I'm excited to meet all of you and to thank you all for the support that you've been showing me even when I was in Albania and far away from everyone."

"I'm excited to meet each and every one of you and hear your words, what you have to say. To talk about our Earth Hour, our environment, what your opinions are, to share them and maybe find solutions that can be small but can bring up a big change," she added. 

The Miss Philippines Earth 2024 coronation night will be held in Bukidnon on May 11. 

The winner will succeed Yllana Aduana, who placed second as Miss Earth Air in last year's Miss Earth pageant.
