MANILA --- Reining Miss Philippines Earth Yllana Aduana turned to social media on Friday to bid goodbye to her crown as Miss Philippines Earth 2023.

On Instagram, Aduna revealed she is feeling sentimental before she passes on the crown to the new Miss Philippines Earth.

"Today, I am feeling extra sentimental. I am now at our rehearsals. I’m crying! One day before I relinquish my dream crown.. wow what a year it was. I'm not sure if I'm ready emotionally to let it go because we’ve been through the highest highs and amazing lows together. Ahhh I know I got to and God knows I’m praying real hard that the next Queen who will wear this is someone worthy enough to rear up to the responsibilities and be able to do more than what everyone of you has witnessed in the past year of my reign," she said in the caption.

"I wish to see someone who’s hardworking, committed, and purposeful. To wear this crown is not an easy task; believe me. It’s far from being a walk in the park. But a Queen who’s genuinely a good person, touchable, humble and kind to all people of different walks of life can smile through it all; the pain, hardships, exhaustion, and challenges presented along the journey. That positive disposition radiates through that no matter the situation is, she’ll glow; She’ll shine through. It’s not the crown’s gems and stones that will make the journey gleam and shine. It’s the QUEEN who will wear it that will make it beam and twinkle with so much light, productivity, fulfillment, and gratification from the people she is able to inspire through her smile, relatability, and genuine kindness," she said.
