MANILA – Actor Richard Gomez has joined a growing list of local celebrities who have taken up painting as a hobby.

Over the weekend, Gomez gave his wife, Lucy Torres, a painting which he called “The Significance of 2016.”

The acrylic painting on round canvas showed red and black flowers against a yellow background.

Last April, Gomez earned his Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Perpetual Help.

Aside from painting and acting, Gomez is also active in sports and is a hands-on father to his only child with Torres, Juliana.

Other well-known celebrity painters include Solenn Heussaff, Heart Evangelista and Bangs Garcia, to name a few.
