MANILA - Solenn Heussaff started painting at the age of 3.

Over the past 27 years or so, she has been using her experiences from travelling around the world as inspiration for her artworks.

On Thursday, Heussaff opened her first solo exhibit, titled “Our People,” featuring 25 of her original paintings at the Pineapple Lab in Makati City.

Often, these paintings would feature her interpretations of different people in muddy colors.

Heussaff explained that she hopes to share a piece of her mind through her paintings and "through the many souls that have captured [her] heart."
