MANILA — Mak Tumang, the breakout designer behind Catriona Gray's "Mayon" gown in Miss Universe, has recreated the iconic dress for Madame Tussauds figure of the Filipino beauty queen.

"Spot the difference," Tumang captioned the first look of the original "lava gown" beside its replica.

Tumang also used the hashtag #offtolondon, hinting that the assembling of Gray's wax figure is being done there.

Madame Tussauds announced its partnership with Gray in January, making her the second Filipino beauty queen, after Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach, to get her own wax figure at the popular museum.

Wurtzbach's wax figure similarly had on a faithful recreation of her gown by Michael Cinco, also by the Dubai-based designer.
