MANILA — Drag queen Eva Le Queen reflected on the recent episode of "Drag Race Philippines" as it addressed the "trash" comment of rotating judge Rajo Laurel during its first season.

"With that issue with Rajo Laurel and the 'trash' issue, my gosh, it's been three years, it's still relevant, so iconic. I was feeling a lot of things a few days ago kasi nga kinakabahan ako, lalapag na 'yung Global All Stars," she told reporters in jest.

It would be recalled that in the first season, Laurel called Eva Le Queen's look "trash" during a design challenge.

The show drew flak anew when the same comment was said to season 2 contest OV C--T by guest judge Tessa Prieto.

Without a direct apology, Laurel reminded the girls that when something negative is thrown at them, they should turn it into something positive.

With the win of her drag daughter, Myx Chanel, Eva felt like she is doing something right for the community.

"I saw that episode and then Myx mentioned about how she started drag in one of my Zoom parties during the pandemic and a lot of the queens right now started their drag there ... A lot of them were brought into this path because of that small Zoom party that we created," Eva said.

"That really made me cry, made me soft, kasi grabe with everything that I've been doing, and hearing that from Myx Chanel saying on national TV, naisip ko na parang, OMG, I must have done something right," she added.

Myx's win also helped Eva stay calm as the premiere of "RuPaul's Drag Race: Global All Stars" started last week.

"Shortsighted ako sa impact that I actually created. For me, I just work, work, work, carry on to the next big dream, and just keep on doing what I do without even realizing what I do unless people tell it," she said.

"Sobrang gandang moment. I was reminded that I was more than just Eva Le Queen, I am just more than 'Global All Stars,' there's actually an impact that's more real than any of that."

In the double-premiere episode, the judges praised Eva's performance and was declared as among the Top 2 queens of the week along with Sweden's Vanity Vain.
