MANILA -- There is no doubt that BINI has taken the country by storm in 2024.

From packed mall shows, numerous milestones in various streaming services, a blooming fanbase, and a wildly successful three-night concert -- the Nation's Girl Group has gone from strength to strength this year.

This seemingly overnight success has been over four years in the making, and in a new documentary series, iWantTFC and ABS-CBN News and Current Affairs trace BINI's meteoric rise from their earliest days all the way to their triumphant first solo concert.

"BINI Chapter 1: Born to Win" follows the members of the Nation's Girl Group during the crucial days before "BINIverse" -- their three-night concert at the New Frontier Theater in Quezon City.

It will be released on the streaming platform iWantTFC on September 8.

The teaser for the docu series -- released during the General Santos City leg of the "BINIverse" regional tour on Saturday as well as on iWantTFC -- shows the drama backstage during the concert, while also displaying glimpses of their rehearsals and preparations.

"Last day," BINI leader Jhoanna Robles is heard telling her fellow BINI members at the start of the teaser. "Hindi na natin alam kung kailan ulit ... Masayang experience, kahit nakakapagod pero mami-miss natin 'tong experience na 'to."

"BINI Chapter 1: Born to Win" features exclusive, never-before-seen footage that will see the BINI members reflect on their four-year journey from their auditions, their grueling training, the struggle for fame and success -- and their stunning rise to superstardom in the past months.

"This segment, which is 'Born to Win,' it tells the story about ... You're a winner, nothing can hold you back. But at the end, sometimes you need each other," BINI coach Mickey Perz says in the teaser.

The docu series also touches on how BINI has changed the music landscape in the Philippines, and how the girls have made an impact on the lives of their most devoted fans -- the Blooms.

"BINI Chapter 1: Born to Win" is the first of a three-part documentary series from director Jet Leyco (Gawad Urian and FAMAS award-winner, Taiwan International Documentary Film Festival Jury Prize for "For My Alien Friend," Fantasia International Film Festival Jury Prize for "Matangtubig," Jeonju Film Festival Jury Prize for "Ex Press") and journalist/writer Jeff Canoy (Palanca award-winner, Cannes Gold Dolphin for Documentary, 2018 New York Festivals Gold World Medal for Documentary, 2021 New York Festivals Bronze World Medal for Documentary).

"This is the first chapter in a trilogy that celebrates the Nation's Girl Group and how their sisterhood has guided their journey in the music scene," Leyco said. "We're excited to share the story of triumph and dreams and how the girls persevered through struggles."

"Jet and I have done many documentaries together and we're excited to share the story of these amazing and talented women, individually and as a singular musical force. Personally, I got into this business to witness history -- and what is happening to BINI is 'herstory' unfolding," added Canoy.

BINI has just concluded the regional legs of "BINIverse," with the girl group holding concerts in Baguio, Cebu, and General Santos. They are now set to bring acts to Canada and the United States, having been announced as part of the pre-show line-up at KCON LA on July 27.
