Based on what I saw, here are eight highlights that stood out from the concert.

1. THE 17-MINUTE OPENING PERFORMANCE
The show on Friday night started at exactly 7:25 p.m., with the countdown beginning when the "BINIverse" logo was projected on the screen. A video of the girls' early audition days played, interspersed with bits and pieces of their journey so far. The fans -- already cheering at this point -- began to scream when silhouettes of the eight members appeared on stage.

BINI opened the show with a medley of "Na Na Na," "Lagi," and "I Feel Good" -- a strong, solid, and powerful start that featured 17 minutes of non-stop dancing and singing. The opening production set the mood and showed that the girls are in full energy.

2. THE LIVE BAND
Hearing the girls perform their hit songs with a live band was extra special. The audience can feel the thump and bang of the drums in "Karera" and the beat of the bass in "Pantropiko" and "Strings." Their songs had more power and were more vibrant. And throughout the three-hour show, their vocals harmoniously blended with the band. Maloi, Jho and Colet's high notes and belting adlibs were all on-point.

3. SOLO PERFORMANCES
Aside from singing their hits, all eight members of BINI also performed solo production numbers that showcased not just their personality, but also their childhood dreams, inspirations, idols, and aspirations.

First to perform their solo spots were Mikha and Stacey. Mikha surprised the crowd when she played the electric guitar while singing Paramore's "That's What You Get' before segueing to Dua Lipa's "Don't Stop Now." Stacey showed the power of pink while singing "Thank U Next" by Ariana Grande, and expressed her pride in her "kikay-ness:" "Sa nagsabing kikay ako at wala akong mararating, look at me now!"

Aiah, Maloi, and Sheena were next to show off. Aiah highlighted women in music as she danced, sang, and rapped Doja Cat's "Woman" -- even performing the rap part in Bisaya. Maloi shared her passion and love for painting while singing Up Dharma Down's "Oo," and Sheena showed why she is the group's main dancer with an energetic routine set to Rihanna's "Pour It Up."

The last three to perform their solos were Gwen, Colet, and Jhoanna. Gwen gave a strong chair dance performance to Little Mix's "Woman Like Me," while Jhoanna slowed things down with her rendition of Sarah Geronimo's "Isa Pang Araw," complete with a string quartet. On Day 1, it was Colet who got the rowdiest response after her surprise performance of Beyonce's "Crazy In Love."

Colet said the reason why she chose that song was because it reminded her of those early days when she would sing ala-Beyonce in the shower or at home, while dreaming to be a singer or performer someday.

Well, it's here! She and the rest of the girls are living the dream!

4. WARDROBE 'RU-VEAL' MOMENT
If my count is accurate, not including their solo performances, the girls had six major wardrobe changes. And if there's one highlight of the night it would be, as fans of RuPaul's Drag Race would say it, the 'ru-veal' wardrobe transition from "Da Coconut Nut" to their final song "Pantropiko." It was a "gagged" moment for the fans. Their wardrobe really looked good onstage - shining, shimmering, flowing and complimenting their moves.

There were a few snafus here and there -- like Colet dropping her in-ear gadget, Jhoanna losing her microphone sleeve, and Stacey fixing Aiah's bejeweled strap. But those moments only showed how strong the group's bond is as they handled the issues professionally and seamlessly.

5. THE BALLOON DROP
A concert wouldn't be complete without confetti and other fun stuff. During BINIverse, they dropped hundreds of balloons that landed mostly at the SVIP/VIP Area during their song "Huwag Muna Tayo Umuwi." We saw Maloi doing a hand gesture to "pop the balloon," and fans followed her instruction -- they were surprised to see handwritten notes from the girls.

During 'Pantropiko', huge beach balls were thrown to the audience area making it look like one big beach party. The girls invited everyone to stand up and dance with them towards the end of the show.

6. '8'
One of the songs that made some of the girls emotional was "8." This is the 7th track from their debut album "Born To Wi" and Jho and Maloi mentioned that they wanted to wait for the perfect time to sing it live and it was here during the concert. The girls were surprised when fans started to hold up signs "You are worth every wait, OUR EIGHT."

Speaking of their debut album, the girls also performed a more mellow, laidback version of "Born To Win" while strutting like models onstage. They also sang an acoustic version of "Strings" from their "Feel Good" EP.

7. THE FAMILY SUPPORT
During the show, the girls had a moment to thank all their supporters, especially their family members. Mikha acknowledged her family and gave a special shoutout to her brother Enzo. Sheena also thanked her family and even rushed immediately after the photo opportunity to be with her grandmother. Maloi’s family were also present, and so was Jho’s Robles family.

We caught up with Aiah’s mom and dad - Malou and Dick, who flew all the way from Cebu, and shared how proud they are of Aiah. Her father said the past few weeks have been so challenging for Aiah, especially juggling studies and work, but they saw how she pulled through and managed herself well.

Stacey’s mom Ivy was a standout in the crowd, wearing pink just like her daughter! During our interview after the show, she also shared how far her daughter and BINI has gone. "I’m just so proud!" she said.

After the group photo opportunity with the SVIP fans, all family members got one big group photo with the girls.

8. GWEN THE TROOPER
Prior to the start of the show, we learned that Gwen was not 100% for the first night as she was dealing with colds. It became evident during the show when she had a hard time speaking while delivering her spiels.

But she stayed and pressed on, displaying utmost professionalism as she finished the show. Her illness didn't stop her from doing her solo performance as well.

Right after the show, she was immediately escorted back to the hotel and attended to by the medical team. She was already excused from the group photo opportunity that came after the show. Messages of love, support and concern flooded social media praying for Gwen’s recovery.

BONUS HIGHLIGHT: CHERRY ON TOP
As a special treat for their fans on the first night, the girls performed their upcoming single "Cherry on Top" for the very first time. All fans were on their phones, capturing this incredible moment performing the single live, ahead of its release this July. They also showed a snippet of the music video and teased that the full video will premiere on July 11, 8PM Philippine standard time.

ANOTHER BONUS HIGHLIGHT: ALL THE LAUGHS
Another thing worth mentioning was how much all eight girls cracked jokes and made fun of each other on stage. Prior to singing "Salamin, Salamin," the girls recited the dreams back then and how do they feel about it now. With their authentic BINI humor, they made fun of it like Sheena saying, "Dati gusto kong maging doctor, ngayon gusto ko na lang maging pasyente." (Before I dreamed of becoming a doctor, now I just want to be a patient).

Some fancams even caught some of how the girls were really having fun, teasing, and playing around while giving it their all onstage.

In all, "BINIverse" is a full Bloom experience for the fans who waited this long to see their idols perform in their first solo concert. They showcased their personalities, their wit, their humor, and their individualities. Best of all, it proved that BINI is prepared and ready for superstardom.
