MANILA -- Comedy superstar Vice Ganda expressed his excitement meeting Filipino-American global drag superstar Manila Luzon for the first time on "It's Showtime" on Thursday.

"We are proud of you. I am personally very, very proud of you," Vice told the host of the reality series "Drag Den Philippines" who was recently named Best Entertainment Host at the Asian TV Awards.

"I am so happy I made you proud," replied Manila, a former contestant on "RuPaul’s Drag Race" in the United States.

"First time namin na nag-meet today. Although nag-uusap na kami sa Instagram, nagdi-DM kami, pero personally ngayon lang kami nagkita. I am so excited to see you," Vice admitted.

Manila said she is happy to be on "It's Showtime" where she promoted the new season of "Drag Den Philippines."

"It's the second season of 'Drag Den' on Prime Video so make sure you watch because we have some amazing drag artists performing and competing for the crown," Manila said.

Vice then praised the reality show show: "Pinanood ko siya, nakaka-proud kasi talaga siya. Kasi marami naman na drag competitions na. Pero ito talaga, Pinoy na Pinoy. Ang puso ay Pinoy na Pinoy. Parang ginawa ng mga Filipino para sa mga Filipino sa buong mundo. 

"Nakaka-proud po 'yung puso ng Filipino mapapanood niyo roon sa 'Drag Den.' Tapos 'yung buong production Pinoy na Pinoy, very consistent, nakakatuwa. Kaya panoorin niyo at saka nakakaproud po talaga at maipagmamalaki natin ang talent ng mga Filipino drag artists," Vice said.
