MANILA -- Claudine Barretto appeared to have allowed her son, Santino, to spend Christmas with Raymart Santiago, even after calling her estranged husband a coward just weeks ago for not defending the child, whom she claimed suffered physical injuries under his watch.

On Sunday, Santiago posted on his Instagram account a photo of him with Santino and his daughter Sabina with the caption: "May the spirit of the season bring you closer to those whom you cherish so much. May this be a year of celebrations for everyone. Merry Christmas to all."

This is the first time Santiago shared a photo of him with Santino since Barretto took to social media to lash out at him for not doing anything to prevent their son's injuries. Barretto said he took his son to the hospital after he was hurt by a cousin, while he was spending time with his father.

She also shared a medical certificate that said that Santino was diagnosed with a soft tissue contusion on his right arm.

Barretto has yet to react to Santiago's latest photo. Her last post on the issue, which she has since deleted, was a pointed message aimed at those who hurt her son.

“Be prepared to defend yourselves. Hope you guys have a Merry Christmas and a New Year in court," she was quoted in writing. "All Santino and I wanted was for your family to say 'SORRY' and to assure us that your family will NEVER RAISE YOUR HAND ON MY SON or daughter."
