MANILA -- She was prepared to set aside their marital woes, but actress Claudine Barretto on Monday blamed her husband Raymart Santiago after her son Santino was allegedly injured by the latter's nephew.

In a series of Instagram posts on Monday, the actress expressed anger upon seeing her son's injured arm.

Barretto told DZMM that her son was at her sister-in-law's house and was playing with his Santiago cousins when the alleged incident happened.

Barretto narrated how her son was allegedly hurt by a 27-year-old cousin.

"He was pinned down on the floor already, sinasasakal siya at naka-twist 'yung kamay n'ya."

(He was pinned down to the floor. He was being choked while his arm was being twisted.)

The fuming mother, who was calmed down by her supporters, blamed her husband for not allegedly defending his own child.

In an interview with Pep, Barretto said she plans to file legal cases against Santiago's nephew.

Santiago, meanwhile, said Barretto is only exacerbating the incident, which he called "away-bata."

According to him, his nephew only tried to stop Santino from throwing a knife at him after the 9-year-old got pissed off during a game.

"According to Santino… Nagpakuwento din ako, naglalaro daw sila ng bola na papel, nagbabatuhan sila. Tapos nagbabatu-batuhan, tumama sa ulo, nagkapikunan. Kumuha daw ng kutsilyo [si Santino], daw, ayun yung sinabi naman nung side ng pamilya ko. So, pinigilan na huwag mambato kasi kutsilyo na yun, eh. Ayun lang," Santiago told Pep.

Barretto immediately responded to her estranged husband through her Instagram account.

In her Instagram post, she called Santiago a coward for not standing for his child.

"Away-bata talaga Raymart! 10 years old si Santino at yung Pamangkin mo 27 YEARS OLD? bata ba yun??? Duwag ka!" she wrote. "Minsan lang kahit minsan mag sabi ka naman ng totoo. your kids called u a Liar after this interview. stay away from us!"

"I mean it pay the freaking Ariers (sic) coz u only have up to Nov.30 sabi ng court. unless gusto mo uli magbayad ng bail sa mga warrant of arrests mo. ibalik mo na mga ninakaw mo then leave us in peace!" she added.

Barretto earlier said she and Santiago decided to halt their annulment plans and try to work on being good parents to their kids.
