Raimund Marasigan got the rumor mill running with a teasing video -- but Ely Buendia was quick to dash hopes for an Eraserheads reunion at the UAAP Finals

Unfortunately, the fans of Eraserheads are left without a reason to smile after former vocalist Ely Buenda firmly ruled out any hopes that the band is reuniting to perform at the UAAP Finals.

It was Monday night when Raimund Marasigan posted on Twitter a video of him with other Eraserheads members Buddy Zabala and Marcus Adoro, along with a mysterious blonde guitarist, practicing one of their most popular songs "Minsan" for "Game 2."

The teasing video immediately spawned rumors that they'll be getting back together for the much-anticipated second game clash between the UP Fighting Maroons (the band's alma matter) and the Ateneo Blue Eagles -- and this didn't sit well with Buendia.

"Whoever that blond guy in the video is, it's not me. I wish both UAAP teams the best of luck, though," Buendia wrote in reply.

He added: "Laugh trip lang the way the guy taking the video makes pahagip-hagip the blond guy. Making paasa the fans... Sometimes these guys are like SEMBREAK. NO CLASS AT ALL."

The last time the band performed together was in 2016 for a mini-set that included their hit "Maling Akala" as well as "Popmachine" and "Poor Man's Grave."

Last week, it was revealed that a remastered version of their first-ever album, "Ultraelectromagneticpop," will be available for streaming via Spotify.
