MANILA -- Pinang (Erich Gonzales) and Phil (Daniel Matsunaga), the lead characters of the daytime hit "Be My Lady," welcomed their baby girl on Thursday, after their "kilig" wedding episode last week.
However, after delivering the baby, Pinang went into a coma, flatlined, but was revived.
Pinang decided to sacrifice her life for their baby due to threat of preeclampsia.
Thus viewers will have to tune in to the series finale on Friday to see if Pinang will live for her baby and Phil.
Directed by Theodore Boborol, "Be My Lady" tells the story of Pinang and Brazilian-Japanese Phil who find love despite their differences in language, beliefs and culture.
The series also stars Al Tantay, Janice de Belen, Priscilla Meirelles, Yayo Aguila, Almira Muhlach, Yves Flores, Karen Dematera, MJ Cayabyab, RK Bagatsing, Devon Seron, Karen Reyes, Mike Lloren, Ana Abad Santos, Perry Escano, Marife Necesito and the comedy trio No Direction.
"Be My Lady" will be replaced by "Langit Lupa," which will debut on November 28.
