MANILA -- Amid breakup rumors, celebrity couple Xian Lim and Kim Chiu arrived together at the Star Magic Ball on Saturday night.

Prior to the ball, many speculated that the couple's relationship has been on the rocks since -- unlike in previous years -- Lim didn't staged any surprise for Chiu when he asked her to be his date.

Moreover, three days before the ball, Chiu admitted in an interview that Lim has not yet asked her to the ball. But she emphasized that her expectations are changed because of their age.

“Ilang years na ring may paandar so parang siguro, bigay mo na sa mga teenagers 'yung ganon. 'Yung mga bagets nga ngayon, paandar silang lahat. Ang cute tignan ng mga bata,” she added.

On the night of the ball, Chiu and Lim laughed off rumors that they are no longer together. And when Lim was asked why he did not plan any surprise for Chiu, he revealed that he secretly prepared something after the ball.

"Meron tayong something after. You'll see," he quipped.
