MANILA — In a shocking twist in the gothic drama “The Killer Bride,” Salvador actresses Maja and Janella shared a rare scene together where their characters were revealed to have been conniving all along.

Camila (Maja Salvador) and Emma’s (Janella Salvador) vengeful scheme was unraveled in the August 29 episode, which drew the primetime series’ biggest TV viewership so far since its August 12 debut.

It registered a nationwide rating of 24.6%, according to producer RCD Narratives, citing data from Kantar Media. That’s double the audience of its rival program on GMA-7, “The Better Woman,” which only got 12.1%.

“The Killer Bride” has also been the talk of the town on social media, with its official episode hashtags ranking among worldwide trends on Twitter.
