When IV of Spades were starting out, they've only had to clarify with fans the correct pronunciation of their name (it's four of spades).

But now that they've been exposed to the spotlight, thanks to the massive success of their hits "Mundo" and "Hey Barbara," they're now being made to deal with disbandment rumors.

On Tuesday, the band posted on Facebook a statement on the absence of one of their members, Unique Salonga, who had to be rushed to a hospital earlier this month for undisclosed reasons.

The incident has worried fans, especially since Unique has yet to rejoin the band in their recent gigs.

In their brief explanation, the remaining members of the breakout group revealed that Unique has decided to take an "indefinite time off from the band to address personal matters."

But they maintained that "Unique is very much still part of the band," adding: "We will wait for Unique to come out anytime whenever he feels he is ready to join us again."

They also gave their followers an update on their debut album, which they said is still being released sometime this year.

The statement came two days after Unique posted a cryptic tweet on Twitter amid the rumors, writing: "Keep quiet."
