MANILA — Actor Matteo Guidicelli on Tuesday made his first public appearance since his controversial wedding with his now-wife, pop star Sarah Geronimo.

Guidicelli, an Army reservist, attended the Presidential Security Group Change of Command Ceremony at Malacañang Park in Manila.

He was wearing what appeared to be a wedding ring.

Guidicelli, as well as his fresh marriage with Geronimo, have been the subject of headlines since last week, after their clandestine union ended in a commotion with the arrival of the singer’s mother, Divine Geronimo.

A bodyguard employed by the Geronimo family accused Guidicelli of punching him — an allegation flat-out denied by the actor in a phone call with ABS-CBN News.
