MANILA – Jerry Tamara, the close-in security detail of Sarah Geronimo who was allegedly hit by Matteo Guidicelli, went on record to detail the scuffle that supposedly happened on the night the celebrity couple tied the knot.

In an interview with Raffy Tulfo on Monday, Tamara said he is not sure where the actual wedding took place because Geronimo was wearing the same clothes the whole day.

However, he mentioned that they went to Victory Fort Bonifacio in Taguig.

From Victory, Tamara said they brought Geronimo to a restaurant inside a posh hotel in Bonifacio Global City where she and Guidicelli had dinner with the actor’s family.

At around 10:30 p.m., Tamara said he inquired at the reception if they had already asked for the bill since it was already getting late.

It was at that time that he got a message from the driver asking about a message sent by Geronimo.

Tapos sabi niya huwag kayong aalis diyan. Malapit lang kami, papunta na kami diyan,’” he added.

Geronimo’s mother Divine arrived at the hotel 20 minutes later and that’s when the commotion began, according to Tamara.

“Both sides sir may nabibitiwan na salita.

Since emotions were already running high, Tamara said he brought Geronimo and her mother to another room where they talked.

While del Rosario and Mrs. Geronimo were talking, Tamara said he noticed Geronimo and Guidicelli’s family leaving the restaurant through the fire exit. He then informed Mrs. Geronimo of this, who instructed him to tail Geronimo.

Tamara said that was when Guidicelli punched him on the throat while his bodyguards were restraining him. He also failed to stop them from leaving.

Guidicelli has already denied this allegation in an earlier interview with ABS-CBN News’ Mario Dumaual but Tamara insists the actor hurt him.

When asked if he has any message for Guidicelli, Tamara said: “Sir Matteo, 'yung totoo lang po.

Tapos 'yung mommy niya at taga Victory,” he added.

Tamara said he will file a formal complaint against Guidicelli.

Geronimo has yet to release any statement on the incident.
