MANILA -- Bloomberry Resorts Corporation, the owner and operator of Solaire Resort and Casino, said its consolidated net income reached P9.5 billion in 2023, up 85 percent from the P5.1 billion it saw in 2022.

The company said total gross gaming revenue at Solaire hit P58.3 billion, 16 percent higher than the P50.1 billion recorded in 2022, on the back of growth in mass tables and the electronic gaming machines (EGM) segments.

The firm also said this is 97 percent of the 2019 level--the last full year that the integrated resort and casino was open before the COVID-19 lockdowns.

Bloomberry also said non-gaming revenue in Solaire was at P8.3 billion, or 25 percent more than numbers recorded in 2022.

Hotel occupancy in 2023 climbed to 79.8 percent, compared to 53.7 percent in 2022.

Chairman and chief executive officer Enrique Razon said they have high hopes for 2024, as they open a new integrated resort in Quezon City this May.

"The construction of Solaire Resort North is almost complete, and we plan to launch late in May of this year," he said.

Bloomberry's profit in the first half of 2023 reached P6.4 billion.

Bloomberry was added to the Philippine Stock Exchange's main index in September.
