MANILA - Ayala Land Inc. unit Alviera expects to complete the expansion of its Sandbox adventure park this year, a company official said Thursday.
The new facilities include a three-hectare karting race track, which will be positioned to host international events, and paintball and airsoft grounds, said Alviera Associate Project Manager Leo Grape.
Sandbox in Alviera, a 1,100-hectare mixed-use development in Porac town, near the Clark International Airport, has been operating for two years.
"We really appreciate the success brought by the adventure park, so we want to make sure that we keep the momentum going," Grape told ABS-CBN News.

Sandbox is home to the country's tallest swing; an aerial walk challenge; a high rope adventure course of nets and rope walkways; and a zip line. It hosts 120,000 visitors annually, according to Grape.
The park also hosted an outdoor camping event in 2015 and a "game show-inspired playground" this year. Another camping event will be held on October.
Ayala Land earlier said it would spend P90 billion for the development of the entire Alviera project, its joint venture with Leonio Land Holdings.
Several units are expected to be turned over next year, Grape said. The country club will open in 2018.
