MANILA - Bank of the Philippine Islands early Friday said it has restored its online and mobile banking services that became temporarily unavailable due to a recent systems upgrade.

"We are pleased to inform you that our online and mobile channels are now fully accessible," BPI said in a tweet past midnight.

"Thank you for your patience, understanding and continued patronage."

It added that its ATMs and Cash Accept Machines (CAMs) remain available for clients' banking needs.

The bank's online and mobile transactions became unavailable late Wednesday as the channels adjusted to a systems upgrade last Friday to Sunday.

The Ayala-led lender restored its payroll services on Thursday night.
