MANILA -- Sofronio Vasquez from Mindanao, who has been dubbed the "Running Crooner of Ozamiz Occidental," is the newest daily winner of Tawag ng Tanghalan.

Vasquez, 23, dethroned the three-day defending champion Jeremiah Tiangco with his version of Eric Benet's "The Last Time" and Whitney Houston's "The Greatest Love of All" on Monday.
