When "Chicks in the Office" co-host Maria Ciuffo went live on Instagram on September 22, she probably did not expect Manny Pacquiao among those watching and chatting with her.

That's exactly what happened --and you wouldn't blame Ciuffo, who goes by her online moniker "BarstoolRia," for gushing in excitement when Pacquiao struck a conversation.

She shared to her thousands of followers a series of screenshots showing Pacquiao saying "hello" to her and her followers.

The Filipino boxer-politician is also seen saying "You can call me anytime" in the live chat, according to a separate screenshot shared by the "Chicks in the Office" Instagram account.

It was unclear whom the statement was for.

Ciuffo is one half of the hosts of Barstool Sports' "Chicks in the Office", described as "the first Instagram account by girls, for girls, featured on a predominately male website."

Barstool Sports is a U.S.-based sports and men's lifestyle website.

Pacquiao chatted up Ciuffo days before the brouhaha surrounding his puzzling presence on a 22-year-old's Instagram live video chat.

He explained on Wednesday his decision to start an online conversation with Arzaylea Rodriguez, an American social media sensation with nearly half a million followers.

"Lahat naman pwedeng makipag-usap sa akin live. Wala namang malisya doon. In fact, iyun lang 'yun. Tingnan mo, pagkatapos nun, wala na," he told reporters.

Pacquiao has yet to issue a separate statement regarding his presence on Ciuffo's live video chat.
