Batangas City Athletics—Tanduay scored a convincing win over Valenzuela City Classic—Yulz in Game 2, 89-64, to sweep their semifinals series in the MPBL Anta Rajah Cup at Muntinlupa Sports Complex on Saturday.

The Athletics used a balanced attack against the gutsy Classic with Val Acuna leading the charge with 16 points including 4 3-pointers.

Four other Batangas players scored in double figures, enabling them to outgun Valenzuela in the second half.

Lester Alvarez had 15 points, while Kier Quinto contributed 14.

Batangas ekeed out an 80-75 win against Valenzuela in a highly physical Game 1 last Thursday.

This time, however, they were more accurate from the 3-point area with 11 shots connected against the Classic's 4.

Valenzuela was more dominant in rebounding, but succumbed to turnovers that translated to 22 points for Batangas.

Paolo Hubalde led the Classic with 12 points.

Batangas will face the winner of the final-4 series between Parañaque Patriots—Gamboa Coffee and Muntinlupa Cagers—Angelis Resort.
