MANILA - Sixty-two Caloocan City cops were sacked following the killings of at least 2 minors in anti-drug operations and a robbery incident during a police operation last September 7, Metro Manila's police chief said Friday.

Fifteen cops directly involved in the breaking and entering incident have been placed under restrictive custody and will face criminal and administrative charges.

In an interview, Albayalde said he is mulling the reassignment and retraining of all 1,000 Caloocan City police personnel in the coming days. He said the reshuffle was planned even before the killing of Kian Loyd delos Santos and Carl Arnaiz in anti-drug sweeps last month.

"Right now, I think it is immediate that we have to reshuffle all the personnel from substations 2, 4, and 7. We’re looking for the reshuffling of all the personnel from the Caloocan City Police Office in batches," Albayalde told ANC.
