MANILA - The five victims of the massacre in San Jose Del Monte, Bulacan have been laid to rest Wednesday afternoon.

Relatives and loved ones of Estrella, her 3 kids, and her mother Auring all wore white shirts with words that call for justice and the revival of death penalty.

Dexter Carlos said he has no plans of living in the house where his loved ones were murdered. He said he plans to ask a priest to bless the house.

The widower added that he does not find purpose in returning to work right now because his family is now gone.

Asked about the two persons of interest reportedly killed by unknown gunmen, Carlos said: "Kahit mamatay pa silang lahat, malungkot pa rin ako. Hindi na maibabalik ang buhay ng pamilya ko."

(Even if all the murderers die, I'm still sad. Their deaths won't bring back my family.)

The security guard said he is asking his family for forgiveness for failing to protect them when they needed him most.

Carlos said he is in favor of the proposal to revive capital punishment to lessen crimes in the country.--Report from Jasmine Romero, ABS-CBN News
