MANILA (UPDATED) - Authorities on Saturday arrested a man who allegedly sold illegal drugs at a massive party in Pasay City last week where five people died.

The suspect, identified as Joshua Habalo was collared by National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) agents who posed as drug buyers at a hotel.

Ecstasy tablets, packets of cocaine, and green-colored capsules suspected to be the party drug "green amore," were seized from the suspect.

Authorities also confiscated his cellphone which contained a video of last Saturday's concert, which, the NBI said, is proof that he attended the event.

Five people at the Close-Up Forever Summer event died after allegedly taking drugs, including green amore which contains a lethal mix of ecstasy and shabu, that were supposedly sold by two people outside the concert venue.

The suspect arrested Saturday denied selling party drugs in the concert, but admitted sharing an ecstasy tablet to a friend.

An autopsy earlier showed that two of the five fatalities died of massive heart attack due to high blood pressure, kidney failure and dehydration -- all consistent with the effects of drug overdose.

The National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) has said syndicates often take advantage of rave parties and similar events to peddle lethal narcotics. - Reports from Johnson Manabat and Raya Capulong, dzMM; Niko Baua, ABS-CBN News
