MANILA -- There's always a first time for everything. That's why as early as now celebrity couple Tommy Esguerra and Miho Nishida are already preparing for this year's Star Magic Ball.

In a recent press conference for their "Ipaglaban Mo" episode, Nishida and Esguerra admitted that they are both excited and nervous about attending the annual gathering of Kapamilya stars.

"It's going to be cool. A little nervous because everyone knows what it's like and this is our first time going. They know how it is, what they are going to wear and we're just like, 'Okay, let's figure this out, how do we do this? What's the right way to go about it,'" Esguerra said.

Weeks before the October 22 ball, Nishida has already started preparing. "Yes, I'm really excited," she added.

Nishida and Esguerra started their showbiz career -- and romance -- when they joined the reality show "Pinoy Big Brother" in 2015. Nishida was named the adult big winner, while Esguerra won second place.

They became a couple in December last year.
