It has been months since John Lloyd Cruz made his shock decision to take an indefinite leave from showbiz.

Despite stepping away from the spotlight, however, the Kapamilya star seems to still find himself in plenty of headlines, most notably about his supposed baby with actress Ellen Adarna.

This week, however, talk out of the rumor mill is not about his love child but that he's finally returning to work.

Though to the surprise of everyone, these "reports" are alleging that ABS-CBN had rejected this request by Cruz.

On Friday, the network vehemently denied such accusations and maintained that the company values its relationship with Cruz, one of its most popular talents, built through the years.

An ABS-CBN spokesperson said: "There is no truth to the reports that John Lloyd Cruz approached ABS-CBN to request that he return to work, and that the network turned him down."

The company said the actor is still on his indefinite leave, and that "ABS-CBN’s doors are always open to John Lloyd, and he will always be a Kapamilya."

Cruz announced taking a break from showbiz back last October.
